For lovers of the outdoors, you can follow in the footsteps of Monty Halls on his Great Irish Escape, which was filmed in the area, by hopping on a charter boat from the pier and experiencing deep-sea fishing. Alternatively, Dog's Bay is a must-visit for swimming, windsurfing, and simply relaxing in the sun, or perhaps you'd prefer the historic attractions of Roundstone Bog, Connemara Heritage & History Centre, and Clifden Castle.
