The surrounding area of Charmouth offers many attractions including the historic Cannington Viaduct and a selection of countryside walks. Situated along the Jurassic coast, you will be presented with many opportunities to explore the seaside, with walks along rocky and sandy bays, as well as fossil hunting on some of the famous beaches, including the close by Charmouth Bay where you can look for fossils before having a family picnic on the shore. Head into the town of Lyme Regis, just a short drive from the property, where you will be able to explore an abundance of shops selling local crafts and enjoy a bite to eat at one of the local cafés, pubs or restaurants. There is also the option of two museums, the Dinosaurland Fossil Museum and the Lyme Regis Museum and a marine aquarium, any of which will make a great family day out. Head over to Langmoor and Lister Gardens for a walk amongst beautiful plants, or head to the nearby Axe Valley Wildlife Park where you will be able to see beautiful creatures.
