Kelly Bray, Lyme Regis

Dorset. Sleeps up to 8

Enjoying a superb, elevated position overlooking Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coastline, is this lovely detached holiday home, Kelly Bray. Ideal for families or a group of friends on holiday together, the accommodation is well presented with the magnificent gardens a particular feature, which boast breath-taking sea views and the gently sloping lawns make them the perfect place for children (and dogs!) to run around and play safely while the adults can make the most of the time to relax and chill out on the patio area, maybe enjoying a tipple or two at the same time. Inside, the accommodation is clean and comfortable, with a delightful sitting room greeting guests as they arrive. There is an ample seating area, attractive wood flooring and a feature woodburning stove which provides a cosy centre point to the room; a space where you can imagine guests gathering, curling up together on the sofa and enjoying each other’s company. The country-style kitchen is a joy to cook in with a gorgeous range cooker a wonderful spot for rustling up all kinds of delicious food for your holiday party and when dinner is served there is a formal dining room boasting some fabulous views or for something a little less formal, why not pull up a chair and gather around the rustic table in the kitchen? If you want to soak up some sunshine and captivating views at the same time, then you can chill out in the light and airy sunroom, which gives guests a great alternative space to relax in. When bedtime calls, there are four well-appointed bedrooms to choose from, two king-sizes, a double and a twin so no matter what combination of guests are in your party there will be a bedroom for you. Waking up in the morning at Kelly Bray is a joy with those views visible from all corners of the house and after a quick soak in the bath or a refreshing shower, you’ll be ready to take in the sights and sounds of Dorset. A short walk will take you into Lyme Regis which has a great selection of shops, bars, pubs, galleries, restaurants and boutiques as well as a museum and aquarium and of course a beach and Cobb Harbour and Causeway for which the town is well known. Attractions to visit by car with some enchanting views along the way include Athelhampton House and Gardens, Axe Valley Wildlife Park, Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre, Pecorama Gardens and the Jurassic Fun Centre. Pack a picnic and head off fossil hunting to any number of beaches along the Jurassic Coastline including Charmouth, West Bay, Lulworth Cove, Weymouth and Seatown.
