Waterbeach, Sutton-On-Sea

Lincolnshire. Sleeps up to 6

Waterbeach is a beautifully appointed, single-storey, detached cottage right by the beach in Trusthorpe, Lincolnshire. With three bedrooms sleeping up to six guests, this dog-friendly dwelling offers a family of six an enclosed private garden, off-road parking for two cars, and a spacious living area with all the home comforts for your self-catering holiday. Enter through the gate to the side entrance of the property, which is fully enclosed and safe for dogs and children. Inside, a bright and open-plan living area awaits with a contemporary, seaside theme throughout with blue hues and thoughtful touches; you'll find a handmade hanging rail for coats, a welcome pack for you with extra beach towels, and one for your dogs! Head straight to the kitchen area with plenty of storage, preparation space, and high-quality facilities to whip up your favourite dishes, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, and coffee maker. There's plenty of space for all six to dine at the large table set under industrial-style lighting, whether that's a casual family dinner or celebrating a special occasion. After dinner, load up the dishwasher and unwind in the light-filled sitting area with high ceilings and Skylights; two leather sofas, extra blankets, and a Smart TV with Xbox 360 ensure a relaxing afternoon for all. Be sure to let the outside in on warmer days by opening the patio doors to your private, enclosed garden to while away the hours in the sun, whether that's snoozing in the sun loungers, preparing dinner on the barbecue, or playing with the dogs. Back inside, you'll find three thoughtfully appointed bedrooms; a king-size with a sleek en-suite shower room, and two twins, each with storage space, pristine linen, and fluffy towels. All bedrooms are served by the family bathroom with a bath and a spacious shower enclosure, ideal for freshening up under the rainfall shower head whilst your towel stays warm on the heated rail. When it's time to explore, exit through the lockable garden gate and follow the path straight to Trusthorpe's beach, which is dog-friendly all year-round; the garden's hot and cold outdoor tap is perfect for rinsing off the dogs and sandy toes, before retiring inside. Trusthorpe is also home to The Seacroft Bar for a classic British cuisine and a general store, with plenty of walks and cycling in the area, whilst Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea are both a stone's throw away for plenty to see and do. Pack your buckets and spades for a day along Sutton on Sea beach, followed by dining at The Beach Bar, Ice Rock Café, or the UK's first net zero hotel, The Bacchus Hotel. In Mablethorpe, you'll find another beach of golden sands with beach huts to hire, lovely strolls through Queens Park with a children's play area, free lido, and boating like, and a variety of animals at the Seal and wildlife sanctuary. However, if you want to see creatures in their natural habitat, be sure to visit Donna Nook, home to a grey seal colony and where seals come to give birth around November/December time! Lincolnshire Aquapark and Watersports Lake is a short drive away for a family-fun day out, or perhaps you'd prefer escaping to nature in the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB? This scenic range of hills offer scenic walks for all abilities, with the market town of Louth, Alford, and the historic Horncastle both nearby and well-worth a day out. Further south along the coast, you'll find plenty of unspoilt scenery, including Chapel St Leonards and North Sea Observatory, Ingoldmells Beach and Fantasy Island, and Anderby Creek, home to the world's first official 'cloud bar' to watch and learn about clouds. More nearby attractions include the Sandilands nature reserve for spotting local wildlife, the National Trust's Gunby Estate, Hall and Gardens, and the cathedral city of Lincoln.
