Spend some time at Bassenthwaite Lake, a National Nature Reserve, where even more watersports await, along with the nearby sights of Dodd Wood, Skiddaw and the Lake District Wildlife Park offering plenty more to see and do. Why not visit Ullswater, with its access to the walks which enjoy the breathtaking sight of Aira Force Waterfall, the nearby peak of Place Fell, as well as opportunities to ride the renowned Ullswater 'Steamers'? For more days out, Cockermouth, Bowness-on-Windermere and Kendal aren't far, with their magnificent selection of attractions and activities suiting all ages.
