The attractive town, once mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, is also home to a golf course, weekly Friday markets held on the main square and the the ancient Pack Horse Bridge which crosses over the River Leven. For a bit of sand and sea, head towards Saltburn-by-the–Sea where you can hop on board the miniature railway, relax on the sandy beach, indulge in some fish and chips at the bustling pier, or take a walk around the lovely gardens and the shoreside Hunt Cliff Nature Reserve. Also nearby you can enjoy the timeless villages and scenic walking trails of the North York Moors, or head for the shops at the large towns of Middlesbrough and Stockton-on-Tees. There is so much to do in this part of North Yorkshire, from a day of a shopping to an afternoon on the beach, and with Parva as your base, you won't miss any of it!
