This splendid, semi-detached cottage lies within the little village of Llanon, just a gentle stroll from the picturesque Ceredigion Heritage Coast. Eiddwen is a delightful dwelling, perfect for a family or group of four eager to explore beautiful countryside and coastal delights. Enter into the snug living/dining room, where you can sink into the sumptuous sofa and tune into the Smart TV, catching up on your favourite shows or finding a favourite film. Move into the kitchen, appointed with all the neccssities required to rustle up a charming feast, which can be served at the dining table or alfresco style outside. The enclosed garden provides a lovely spot for an evening drink, before rinsing yourself off in the shower room and taking your pick out of the bedrooms, with a king-size and twin on offer. Wander down to the beach and spend all day building sandcastles and swimming in the sea, before settling down to enjoy a glorious sunset, as the sun dips below the horizon. The beautiful coastline of Cardigan Bay spans in both directions from the village of Llanon linked with Wales Coast Path and harbourside towns such as Aberaeron, five miles away and New Quay, 12 miles, with a selection of eateries, cafés and ice-cream parlours to enjoy. Head down Stryd yr Eglwys that leads to the beach and church of Llansanffraid, great for an early morning or evening walk. There’s plenty of outdoor opportunity in the area; go wildlife spotting on boat trips from New Quay, which gives you a chance of sighting the bay’s famous dolphins, sling your hook and enjoy some river and sea fishing, or test your swing at a nearby golf course. Aberystwyth is further north, a Victorian seaside resort boasting a traditional atmosphere, a sweeping promenade, funicular railway and a little steam railway that will take you to Devil’s Bridge, where you can see some beautiful cascading waterfalls. Eiddwen is a heart-warming base for a memorable Welsh getaway, whatever time of year.
