Welcome to Captain’s Cottage, this bright & airy property has 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 reception rooms & a large kitchen/dining room. There is a pretty enclosed garden with casual seating. When you enter through the front door of Captain’s Cottage, you’ll be in no doubt that you are close to the sea as you explore the house & note the crisp blue & white coastal décor, stripped floorboards & interesting coastal finds carefully arranged in this lovely home.

The attractive, 2 storey property is located on Gilford Road, which is just a stone’s throw from Deal Castle, the famous seafront & all local amenities. Captain’s Cottage would suit couples, families or a small group of friends. There are 2 reception rooms, a large kitchen with an attractive dining area & a large, modern log burning fire, perfect for chilly nights!

The second reception room/study, benefits from a sofa bed which is large enough for an adult or 2 children. There are 2 bathrooms one located on the ground floor & 3 immaculately presented double bedrooms, all on the first floor.

Parking is limited on Gilford Road, however due to the central location, once you have arrived & unloaded your vehicle, you can park in one of the nearby streets for free & hopefully not need to use your car during your stay. The property is a short walk from Deal train station.
Entrance
Direct access from Gilford Road where two steps lead you through the front door & into the long hallway with wooden stripped floorboards & clean white décor.

Main Reception Room
To your right is the first of two receptions rooms. The cosy, front facing room has a huge & very comfortable modular sofa, smart TV, attractive lighting & occasional table. There is an original fireplace which has been fitted with a gas fire.

Rear Reception Room
The second reception room / study is along the corridor to your right & has a view of the pretty garden. This room also has a useful workspace desk, sofa bed, extra seating & a large original fireplace. * Please note, at present the open fireplace is not in use.

Kitchen /Dining Room
The bright & freshly decorated large kitchen/diner is arranged over the rear of the ground floor with direct access to the garden from two separate doorways. The stylish circular dining table comfortably seats 6 people, the well-equipped kitchen is large enough for the ‘chef’ in the group to prepare meals in comfort whilst the rest of the party sit & chat. There is a cooker, microwave, fridge freezer & dishwasher. There are both built in & fitted kitchen cupboards with an array of china, glassware & cooking equipment to ensure you have everything you require during your stay.

Ground Floor Bathroom & Utility Area
The first of the 2 bathrooms is located on this floor & has a walk-in shower cubicle with electric shower, handbasin & WC. There is a separate small utility area with washing machine & tumble drier. Access to the garden is possible from here, as well as from the dining area.

First Floor
Sisal carpeted stairs lead you to the first floor where to the rear are 2 double bedrooms with double beds, attractive décor, TV & generous storage.

Rear Facing Bedrooms
The two rear bedrooms have double beds, TV, generous storage & both benefit from stunning views of an area of unspoilt ‘meadow’, owned by English Heritage. There are also tantalising glimpses of the sea from both of these tastefully decorated, bright bedrooms.

Master Bathroom & WC
The master bathroom is located in the centre of the first floor & has a built-in bath, separate shower cubicle with an electric shower & handbasin. The separate WC is next-door.

Master Bedroom
The third & final bedroom is located via a few stairs & has a street view. This is the largest of the 3 bedrooms & has a double bed, ample storage & TV.

Rear Garden
The pretty enclosed garden has been thoughtfully planted with an array of white flowering plants & evergreens. There is a paved area with a fresh, white, casual table & chairs perfect to sit & have a morning coffee or perhaps a sundowner or a BBQ!

*Please note the garden building is not for guests use.

Located in Deal, this apartment is near the beach. Astor Theatre and Sandwich Guildhall Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include White Mill Rural Heritage Centre and South Foreland Lighthouse. Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory Trust and Wingham Wildlife Park are also worth visiting.
