Bodhyfryd, Capelulo

Snowdonia. Sleeps up to 8

Tucked away within the small hamlet of Caplelulo, overlooking the river Gyrach, is this traditionally styled, detached cottage, Bodhyfryd. Bodhyfryd offers a welcoming and homely accommodation and is superbly placed for accessing the striking North Wales coastline, ideal for a family getaway in any season. After a day of exploring, you have two charming sitting rooms to choose from, one of which offers an alluring open-fire for those brisk winter nights, plus plenty of character touches like the exposed beams adding to the atmosphere. Carry the conversation into the country-style kitchen, fitted with a host of appliances to assist with your culinary needs, while there is a separate dining room for hosting family mealtimes. As the night draws to a close, retire to the bedrooms to catch some shut eye, all of which can be found upstairs and offer two doubles, a twin and a single with a trundle bed that can be made into a twin on request. Presented with traditional furnishings and quirky touches. Make sure you don't bump your head though on some low doorways! Get ready for the day within the shower room or treat yourself to a soak in the large corner jacuzzi bath, before stepping outside to the patio seating area and enjoying a morning coffee as you listen to the river run by. There is also a covered seating area, perfect for hosting alfresco meals on a balmy evening, while just a stone’s throw away lies the Fairy Glen Hotel pub, perfect for when you fancy a night away from the kitchen. There’s plenty to do in the surrounding area, with nearby Capelulo waterfalls well worth a visit, where you may be able to see wild Welsh mountain ponies roaming or enjoy the delights of Conwy and its 13th-century medieval castle and craft and souvenir shops or visit the superb Surf Snowdonia just ten miles away. Head to the walled market town of Conwy, just under three miles away, where you can explore its castle and medieval town walls or visit Britain’s smallest house and sample its charming eating spots. Those seeking a bit of the great outdoors will enjoy the Pensychnant Conservation Centre and Nature Reserve, home to an abundance of wildlife and birds, or make the journey to the exhilarating Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, offering over 823 square miles, of diverse landscape and terrain. There’s plenty to look forward to during your stay at the charming Bodhyfryd.
