Gather around the dining table to enjoy hearty meals together as you catch up on the highlights of the holiday. Carry your conversation outdoors into the patio, where you can unwind on the furniture and your canine companions can stretch their legs. Back inside, find the sitting room, decorated in blue, grey and white, where you can rest on the sofa and flicker though the TV, as the woodburning stove provides warmth. Climb upstairs to the first floor to the family bathroom, where you can enjoy a soak in the tub or rinse off in the overhead shower. There are two bedrooms, a single bedroom and a king-size, both offering storage to house your personal belongings. In the morning, get better acquainted with your surroundings and head to Offa's Dyke Path, a 177-mile walking trail for a scenic hike and afterwards you can reward your efforts at the local pub, The Punch Bowl Tavern. A short drive will lead you to the market town of Welshpool, lined with Georgian buildings, where you can tour the remains of the 17th century Powis Castle and uncover the past of the town at the exhibitions in The Wharf Powysland Museum. Further afield is the historic town of Oswestry, here you can marvel at decorative metalwork at The British Ironwork Centre, which features a gorilla made up of donated spoons, as well as visit Cae Glas Park for colourful flowers. Settled by the River Severn is the county town of Shrewsbury, home to an 11th century Castle, a museum and art gallery and Shrewsbury prison for a unique guided tour around a Victorian-styled prison.
