Cottage in Dorset, Swanage

Dorset. Sleeps up to 8

The popular seaside town of Swanage draws many visitors for good reason, the beautiful bay and sandy beach are backed by a great selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, as well as amusements to keep the whole family entertained. Enjoy a traditional Punch and Judy show, visit the arcade or try your hand at a round of crazy golf. There are fabulous coastal walks nearby and a steam railway line that runs from Swanage to the picturesque village of Corfe Castle, which is home to castle ruins in the care of the National Trust. Durlston country park is also well worth a visit, where you can take in the panoramic views over the bay. A gate leads from the roadside into a small courtyard with two bike racks to secure several bikes. The narrow entrance door leads into an equally narrow hallway with the lounge immediately to your right. This inviting room has a large window, flooding the room with light and a Smart TV/DVD. Straight ahead is a dining room, with a wood burner and plenty of space for leisurely family meals. Patio doors lead into a boot room / drying area, ideal for leaving boots, coats and wetsuits. Just next door is the galley style kitchen, which is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. A separate WC leads on from here. Heading back into the entrance hallway you will find a flight of steep and narrow stairs leading to the first floor. There are two bedrooms to chose from, both doubles, a bathroom with a corner bath, hand held shower and WC, there is also a separate shower room. A further steep and narrow flight of stairs leads to the second floor. Here you will find a light and bright super king size bedroom with an en suite shower room and WC, plus a Smart TV. Completing the accommodation is a spacious twin bedroom. Doors lead from either the boot room or kitchen to the courtyard garden. There is a flight of external stone steps that lead firstly to a terrace with garden furniture and then up a further step to an area of artificial lawn. This fully enclosed space has changes of level, therefore care should be taken with young children. To the front and side of the property, there is roadside parking (subject to availability).
