You can embrace the outdoors with waymarked paths for both walking and cycling, follow the riverside walks from Strensham Lock or enjoy a day s fishing on the River Avon, where canoes, kayaks and paddleboards can also be utilised. This area has a year round events calendar: follow the Blossom Trail in springtime, the Asparagus Festival in the summer, and attend the Plum Festival in autumn. A paradise for walkers of all abilities and stamina (great for the kids) awaits as there is easy access to Bredon Hill, made famous by AE Houseman s A Shropshire Lad , and also the Wychavon Way.
