Situated in the village of Goodrich, home to Goodrich Castle, a fine example of a Norman castle which is maintained by English Heritage, and houses a range of rare Civil War artefacts. Just a few miles from the property is the Symonds Yat Rock, an ancient hill fort affording spectacular views over the Wye Valley, as well as picturesque forest trails. Just a short distance away, is Symonds Yat West Leisure Park, a fantastic location for a day trip, with its river cruises, adventure playground, amusement arcades, go kart rides, and plenty of room to explore, run around, and play games. This property offers comfortable accommodation spread across three floors, for three guests, with some interesting period features. On entering the property, a few steps up lead to the ground floor bathroom, where there is a shower over bath and WC. Stairs lead off from here to the master bedroom, a lovely double room with an ornate wooden bed and large floor to ceiling windows which flood the room with light. The staircase leads on to the first floor, where guests will find the cosy lounge, with its impressive vaulted ceiling, exposed brick work, corner sofa, TV, and DVD. The kitchen/diner is also located on the first floor and offers an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave. Curving stairs lead to the mezzanine floor, from where the single bedroom overlooks the first floor living space below, and across to the surrounding countryside from the windows. Outside, guests will be able to relax within the pleasant surroundings of the spacious shared gardens, where there are a number of benches and picnic tables which guests may like to use to enjoy alfresco drinks or meals. Off road parking is provided.
