The Old School House is situated on an acre of land in the countryside, which can only be described as a haven of tranquillity, nestled in the valley of the Bluestack Mountains, County Donegal, on the famous Wild Atlantic Way.
A spacious, bright, airy house with picturesque views and all the facilities for modern day living, completely refurbished with care and attention to every detail. This stunning detached, original stone building dates back to 1894 and the history of this building has been preserved, with some of the original furniture restored, and photographs and history from the school through the years are available to view.
There is a natural garden with unspoilt grounds around the house, a home to wildlife and birdlife; to sit here at any time of day or night and breathe in the air, the scents and listen to the sounds is total bliss.
Donegal has a coastline of 1,224km so you are never far from the many beautiful beaches. There is a host of activities in this area, with many walks to suit all abilities with spectacular views. There are many golf courses, watersport activities, surf schools, horse-riding and the nearby town of Donegal is renowned for its fine-dining restaurants, cafe’s and pubs with live music. Beach 3 miles. Shop and restaurant 4 miles, pub ½ mile.. Approximate distance to Donegal airport is 60km.
