Imagine throwing open the patio doors and breathing in the fresh Hebridean air, opening the garden gate and walking along the stunning sandy beaches of Uig Bay. Here you can embrace all the watersports activities you want and when the tide is right you can even walk over the sands to Uig Sands Restaurant. It really doesn’t get any better than that! Within a few miles, there is a scallop shack at Miavaig Harbour and Sea Trek boat trips. The Isle of Lewis has so much to offer visitors from the fascinating Callanish Stones which predate Stonehenge to Lews Castle, Museum nan Eilean, the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse and even the harbour at Stornoway. The islands can be reached by flights from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness; or by ferry from Uig on Skye to Tarbert, or Ullapool to Stornoway.
