Sugarloaf Cottage, Brightling

East Sussex. Sleeps up to 4

Sugarloaf Cottage takes its name from the woods in which it stands looking out over the most incredible views towards the Ashdown Forest. Astonishingly quiet and secluded - just the birdsong to break the silence - yet close to neighbouring farm house, barn and Oast, the location is simply breathtaking. The nearby village of Brightling is famous for its collection of fascinating follies, built by the eccentric Victorian squire, John 'Mad Jack' Fuller. They include the Needle, the Observatory, and the Sugarloaf - rumoured to be the result of a bet that Fuller lost! They are all  on your doorstep - www.odd-stuff.info/follies/brightling.htm
