Lavender Cottage, a luxury chocolate box cottage with wood burner in the lounge, has a large private jacuzzi and Swedish sauna in the large garden.

This is a peaceful rural area and we please ask you to be respectful of our neighbours and ensure they are not disturbed by any noise between 10pm and 9am, from inside your holiday home, or from your holiday cottage garden. The hot tub switches off automatically at 10:30pm and reactivates at 8.30am.

This character beamed cottage, dating back to the early 1700s, is set within the historic village of Stoke Ash, with its award winning 17th century coaching inn and village post office.

Guests can also enjoy a day at a nearby country hotel spa for approximately £20 per person, with a further inside hot tub plus a sauna, a steam room, foot spa and a gym.

Shop: 0.25 miles. Pub: 1 mile. Chocolatier, restaurants, horse riding, walks: 4 miles. Spa: 5 miles. Golf: 7 miles.

The historic market town of Diss, which is approximately a 10 minute drive from the cottage, has coffee shops and restaurants to enjoy and a park, with a children's play area, overlooking the Mere. Eye and Framlingham, communities with castles, independent shops including a chocolatier and butchers are close by, as are picture postcard villages.

Thornham Walks, with 12 miles of woodland walks around an historic estate are within a few miles and there are many beautiful lanes and sites to explore by bicycle too.

The Suffolk coast including communities of Aldeburgh and Southwold, the Norfolk Broads, Ipswich with river cruises on offer, and the cathedral cities and towns of Norwich and Bury St Edmunds bustling with history and fine restaurants, are all easily accessible for day trips.

Getting around:
Lavender Cottage is surrounded by fields and yet also within easy reach of the A140, A14 and hourly / half hourly intercity Norwich to Diss, Stowmarket, Ipswich, Manningtree, Colchester and London train line. The Norfolk Broads and seaside are all less than an hour’s drive away.

The village has it’s own taxi firm if you are arriving by train and is perfect for a self-catering holiday on the Suffolk / Norfolk border.

ELECTRIC CAR
You can find good charging stations at Morrisons and Tesco in Diss (approximately 8 miles from the cottage) and at ALDI in Stowmarket (approximately 11 miles from the cottage). The charge at the BP garage, Scole, near Diss (approximately 7 miles from the cottage) is a particularly fast charge station.

Located in Eye, this cottage is in a rural area. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Helmingham Hall and Chantry Park, while Bressingham Steam and Gardens and Ipswich Museum are cultural highlights. Banham Zoo and Easton Farm Park are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with swimming nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with cycling and ecotours.
