This idyllic cottage is nestled in a delightful village, surrounded by magnificent scenery, traditional, yet design features created by the owners to give this property a modern twist. The cottage gives you everything you could want to unwind and relax with views across magnificent countryside. There are a range of walks that you can access straight from the property and plenty of attractions within easy reach. Venture to the nearby village of Rothbury, which offers eateries to sample local produce and lovely independent shops to browse. Further afield you can explore Alnwick Castle, walk on the stunning beaches at Bamburgh and no visit is complete without exploring the historic castle there or why not head over to Holy Island which is of significant historical interest. Northumberland is one of the largest designated dark sky regions in Europe, making this a place to return time and time again. Step into the property and relax in the ambient lounge with its lovely decor and cosy wood burner, where you can snuggle up on the sofa and watch the TV/DVD together. Here you will also find a selections of games, books and dressing up for the children. If you decide to stay in and cook, there is a well equipped kitchen with electric Range oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher so you don t even need to do the dishes, from the kitchen you can head out into the garden. The impressive dining room is great place to enjoy good food and conversation over dinner with patio doors leading out onto the veranda. On this floor there is also a separate WC with a utility area with washer/dryer. Heading up the turn style staircase you will find three bedrooms, one super king size with statement headboard, one king size with an en suite bathroom with free standing bath and WC and a twin zip and link (which can be made up as a super king size on request). Completing this floor you will also find the family bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. Heading outside you will find an enclosed garden and patio area with seating and a BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining. Note this garden is not escape proof for very small dogs. There is also a covered veranda with seating and further seating areas to catch the sunshine at all times of the day, as well as a fire pit to sit around and enjoy in the evenings. If you are bringing your bikes with you there is a large shed which is ideal for storing bikes. There is also off road parking for three cars.
