Close to the pretty village of Overton, an ideal base for exploring Shropshire and its borders. Keen walkers and cyclists can ride and stride long canals, riverside trails and discover the Maelor Way (1.6 miles) and Berwyn mountains (27.4) miles). The vibrant towns of Wrexham (8.3 miles), Oswestry (9 miles) and Llangollen (13.7 miles) are nearby. Visit Bangor on Dee (4.5 miles) which is famed for its racecourse, or take a trip on the horse drawn canal boat in Llangollen. Visit National Trust properties Chirk Castle (8.7 miles) and Erddig (8.5 miles), Ellesmere Lake (5.5 miles) and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (9.6 miles) to name but a few attractions. Step into the hall with space for your outdoor attire and into the stylish kitchen with views over the orchard form the breakfast table. It is a lovely space to rustle up a meal with your local purchases from your travels. If making dinner enjoy your meal here or at the dining table in the lounge. In the large orchard, which is shared with the adjoining cottage, there s garden furniture and a BBQ great for summer evenings. There s also ample off road parking at the cottage.
