Set on the edge of a quiet hamlet, tucked away up a leafy lane, in the eastern reaches of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this impossibly pretty cottage is located perfectly to explore the very best of what the Black Mountains has to offer. Just 3 miles from the market town of Abergavenny with its' Norman Castle, farmer's markets,cinema and well established annual Food Festival each September. You can even enjoy some hearty mountain biking and pony trekking nearby. There are numerous trails from the door, both on foot, or by bike. With bike hire available locally and storage easily arranged. The owner is able to offer advice on mountain biking and off road biking during your stay. Hay on Wye is well worth the drive, lots of bookshops, unique stores and a spectacular drive through the mountains. History lovers will love Hereford, with its large cathedral housing the Mappa Mundi. You enter the cottage and immediately the warmth greets you. The owners have decorated with beautiful pictures of the surrounding countryside, with homely touches including plentiful books and games for the whole family to enjoy. There is a cosy and comfortable lounge with woodburner for the evenings, ( first basket of logs included), a TV and DVD player. The spacious room also features an open plan kitchen/ diner, equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm. There is an electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Upstairs are two bedrooms, with gorgeous countryside views, one king size and one twin. There is a family bathroom featuring a shower over the bath and WC downstairs. Outside is a south facing private lawned garden with comfortable outdoor furniture, BBQ and firepit.
