It is located just a short walk into the town centre of Newark, with its many pubs, restaurants and cafés for refreshment, as well as extensive shopping and the National Civil War Centre. During the Civil Wars, key transport routes in this area were protected by the castle which allowed for the transportation of goods. This lead to the town of Newark to be known as the ‘Key to the North’.
The apartment is just a 15-minute drive or bus journey into Lincoln, famous for its cathedral and castle which houses an original copy of the Magna Carta. In the other direction, the city of Nottingham can be reached in 30 minutes. The Newark Showground is just a short drive away, well known for the Newark International Antiques and Collectors Fair and other regular events.
