Kilkee has a horseshoe-shaped beach, which makes it amongst the most sheltered beaches around. The Pollock Holes, Kilkee’s renowned natural rock pools, are just a few minutes’ walk from the house. They make the perfect place to swim while the tide is out, and the smaller rock pools provide hours of fun for kids looking for crabs. The real adventurers can try abseiling down the cliffs or take kayak around the bay. There are many breathtaking places to explore, just ask the locals for some tips.

Take a drive to Doonbeg Golf Club, Loophead Lighthouse and The Cliffs of Moher, or visit The Long Dock in Carrigaholt for a great seafood lunch. Have a surf in Doonbeg, Spanish Point or Lahinch. Enjoy some traditional music in the local pubs or in Miltown Malbay. For serious musicians, the owner may be able to provide a guitar and a keyboard for you during your stay, subject to a security deposit. Please enquire before arrival. Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 200 yards.. Approximate distance to Shannon airport is 77 km.
