Nearby, there is fishing on the River Finn, home to some of the best salmon and trout fishing in Europe. Trusk Lough is perfect for a lakeside walk and to view the wildfowl, alternatively there is horse riding available at the nearby equestrian centre. Ballybofey and Stranorlar golf clubs, with 18 holes of pure bliss, are close by, or there is shopping in the bustling ‘Twin Towns’ Ballybofey and Stranorlar, with many restaurants, pubs and one of the largest department stores in Ireland.
There are many places to visit, including Malin Head, one of the filming location for the ‘Star Wars’ in Donegal, Glenveagh National Park, Mount Errigal and Doagh Island. Rossnowlagh, Murvagh and Bundoran are nearby for surf schools, kayaking, diving and snorkelling. Donegal Bay Waterbus is perfect for guests who want to take a trip to explore the historic sites and the seal-inhabited coves, up to 200 seals can be viewed from the Waterbus at the half way point on the cruise. Killybegs fishing port and the Sliabh Liag Cliffs are said to be one of the highest and finest marine cliffs in Europe. Beach 25 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.. Approximate distance to Donegal airport is 66 km.
