Its location, in a quiet residential area, is on a bus route to the city centre, and makes an ideal location for anybody wishing to stay in Galway. The nearby Salthill Promenade is a lovely place on which to stroll or just sit and enjoy ’the sun go down on Galway Bay.’ There are beaches close by at Salthill and Silver Strand, as well as water sports such as kite surfing, paddle boarding and windsurfing at Rusheen Bay. Golfers have a choice of courses at Galway and Barna, with many more within a 25-mile radius. Walkers are spoilt for choice, with miles of country roads to ramble on, whilst further afield, the Connemara Hills await climbing. Lake and sea fishing are also widely available in the area.

The city of Galway is known as the ’City of the Tribes’, and there are several festivals throughout the summer, including The Arts Festival, The Oyster Festival, Film Festival, Writers Week and of course, the famous Galway Races. Connemara and the Wild Atlantic Way are on your doorstep. Clifden, Kylemore Abbey, the Burren, Bunratty Castle and the Cliffs of Moher are all easy day trips. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.. Approximate distance to Knock airport is 94 km.
