Private parking for 2 cars. 2 dogs welcome - to be kept on a lead at all times. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a well.. Set around a very pretty, tree-filled courtyard garden, these lovely cottages (refs W32315 and W32316) are in a peaceful, rural setting yet within a short drive of the vibrant, medieval city of Kilkenny with its magnificent castle and attractive, flower-filled, winding streets. Kilkenny is host to many festivals held throughout the year, including the Kilkenny Arts Festival, the Cat Laughs Comedy Festival, a craft beer festival, a roots music festival, a heritage week and TradFest (a showcase of arts and culture).
At Croan Cottages, guests are welcome to explore the exquisite grounds extending to 10 acres which include a magical labyrinth lawn, French boules, outdoor table tennis, a stunning walled garden which provides a huge variety of homegrown produce, picnic areas, and an area where you can enjoy visiting the animals on this smallholding, including peacocks, goats, hens, sheep and several alpacas! Sumptuous homemade dishes can be ordered and delivered on request (with 24 hours’ notice given) from the friendly owners who live on-site and are on hand to offer advice on local attractions and amenities. These include local forest walks, Castle Morres, golf (the infamous Mount Juliet course is a few minutes’ drive away) and traditional pubs. These properties are wonderful little oases in the heart of south Kilkenny’s glorious countryside. Shop and pub 2½ miles, restaurant 8½ miles. The properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 10 guests.. Approximate distance to Dublin airport is 154 km.
