Oozing character and charm inside, whilst outside the terraced gardens and seating areas boast stunning panoramic views stretching for miles. Saint Moling’s Holy Well, an area of natural and stunning beauty, is close to the cottage. It is a peaceful retreat and its holy water has been known to cure in the past. Within a 10-minute drive is the picturesque riverside village of Inistioge, known as the ’Jewel of the South East’ and where many films have been made, including ’Circle of Friend’, ’Widows Peak’ and ’The Secret Scripture’. The cottage lies 15 minutes from the main Waterford to Dublin motorway, and Mount Juliet with its fine golf course. The neighbouring counties of Waterford and Wexford can be reached within 20 minutes. New Ross is close by with its famous Dunbrody Famine Ship and visitor centre, and of course the John F. Kennedy Monument and Memorial Park. Wexford has some beautiful beaches to explore, or visit Reginald’s Tower Exhibition Centre and a crystal factory with guided tours at Waterford. For hill walking, the South Leinster Way is nearby, and for fishing, there are great fishing villages on the River Nore. A little further a field is vibrant medieval Kilkenny city, where numerous festivals are held throughout the year, including Cat’s Laugh Comedy, Roots Music and art festivals to name but a few. It offers fine dining and traditional music including one of Ireland’s most haunted pubs! Shop and pub 3½ miles, restaurant 5 miles.. Approximate distance to Cork Airport is 144 km.
