Maybury Cottage is a 6th generation family home on a farm (dry cattle), just over half a mile from the beautiful rural heritage town of Kenmare. It has an unrivalled view of Kenmare Bay and the Caha Mountains with the Roughty River Valley to the south east of the property. The property stretches to the banks of the Finnihy River, and there is direct access to Tubbrid Cove on the shores of Kenmare Bay on the owners’ adjoining lands. This property is within walking distance of Kenmare town, a brisk ten minute walk along the Tubbrid by road with only local traffic.

This house was totally restored some years ago, and has retained some of the old features, combined with up-to-date insulation, power showers and zoned heating. It also retains some of the original fireplaces, and has a light and airy feel, an excellent mix of the old and the new.

The ground floor has a fully fitted kitchen, and an open plan living and dining room with a woodburner. The first floor has a second open plan living room with patio doors and balcony overlooking Kenmare Bay and mountains.

Maybury Cottage is the perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of south Kerry and west Cork. There are golf links, and the Beara Way and Kerry Way walking routes and Kenmare is an excellent base from which to tour the Ring of Kerry, Ring of Beara, Killarney National Park, Dingle and west Cork. Water sports, horse riding and fishing (licence required) in the numerous salmon rivers and trout lakes are available. Kenmare is a beautiful town with superb restaurants, pubs and Artisan craft shops. The owner is always available to assist and advise on places to visit. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.. Approximate distance to Kerry Airport is 58 km.
