In a beautiful position overlooking Glengarriff Harbour and Bantry Bay, this attractively furnished, detached holiday home is adjacent to the owner’s home just one mile from the village of Glengarriff on the Wild Atlantic Way. It offers walking trails at the perimeter of the 60-acre dry stock farm on which it is situated. Famed for a magnificent setting between its harbour and the Caha Mountains, Glengarriff has much to appeal to the holidaymaker. The superb Garnish Island Gardens, the Nature Reserve with fantastic walks and viewing points, the Bamboo Park, and, a short distance from the village, the Ewe Experience, are all well worth a visit. There is a good choice of craft shops, restaurants and pubs, and a 9-hole golf course. This is the gateway to the Beara Peninsula whose spectacular scenery and colourful villages are a must-see. Take a trip over the Healy Pass, or go via the Caha Pass to Kenmare. Bantry, 10 miles, has the delightful Bantry House and Gardens, cinema and leisure centre. Further afield you can explore the Sheep’s Head and Mizen Peninsulas or take a ferry to one of the offshore islands for a very rewarding day trip. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.
