Oak Barn is a wonderfully restored old stone barn, designed to an exceptionally high standard and decorated with an excellent eye for every detail. Full attention has been paid to every inch of the barn with handcrafted oak doors, well thought-out colour schemes and the very best of handmade furniture and fabrics. This Eco Barn has some lovely views across the valley, set in the idyllic peaceful and remote Crai Valley, yet on a vibrant working farm with Poplar and Beech Tree Eco Lodges and the smaller Trefaen. This is the perfect location for walking, exploring, touring and especially relaxing in the super (SHARED) HOT SWIM/SPA POOL. Bring your own Telescope or binoculars to make the most or this designated Dark Skies Area.

An open plan living/dining/kitchen space downstairs with large comfortable curved sofa set around a built in featured wood burning stove, with a large TV with Free Sat, Blue-ray DVD & an IPod docking station. For enjoying a convivial meal with friends, there is a fabulous, large, handmade oak dining table designed to seat 14 guests

The spacious fitted attractive kitchen is extremely well equipped with a Range Master cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, large fridge/freezer etc

Bedroom 1: There is a downstairs bedroom with "rise & recline" twin beds perfect for people with movement difficulties, the bed can be pushed together to make a Super King sized bed although not 'zip & link'

En-suite Wet Room 1: A downstairs wet room with toilet, hand basin and shower

Oak Bedroom 2: A magnificent handmade oak Four Poster king size bed, oak dressing table and spacious wardrobe and TV with Free-sat

En-suite bathroom: With a luxurious corner bath, toilet and hand basin

Yew Bedroom 3: Another magnificent King size bed with a handmade Yew headboard made from a Yew Tree that was a 1000 year. Large built in wardrobe, oak dressing table and TV with Free-sat. This bedroom also boasts a sofa bed ideal for a child or an extra friend

There is the En-suite bathroom: With a double shower, hand basin and toilet

Walnut Bedroom 4: A King size bed with a handmade walnut headboard, a large built-in wardrobe, oak dressing table and TV with Free-sat. This bedroom also has a sofa bed and en-suite bathroom with double shower, hand basin and toilet

French doors lead from the lounge to a terraced area with a covered, 15 person swim/spa, patio furniture, garden seating and a large gas BBQ

* The SHARED SWIM SPA is complimentary to the Barn and Trefaen Cottage, but for guests wanting exclusive use there will be a charge of £30 for a 2 hour usage. For safety reasons all usage has to be agreed with the owners and there is a curfew of 10pm which has to be strictly adhered to. The Swimspa is provided on site for guests own pleasure and is not reflected in the charge of the property. Owners reserve the right to shut down the spas at any time if essential maintenance is required

With access and accommodation for visitors in wheelchairs - Oak Barn's downstairs bedroom is suitable for less able guests/wheel chair users. The bedroom has "rise & recline" twin beds and an en-suite shower/wet room with hand basin and toilet

These properties have been built and developed making them as comfortable, warm and hi-tech green energy efficient as possible. Typically 70% efficiency is achieved

Bike Hire - 12 Mountain Bikes available for hire on Discussion in advance with the owner - £25 full day, £15 half a day

Star gazing - The farm has recently been awarded a Dark Skies Milky Way status due to its unpolluted dark skies - access to binoculars and Telescope available on request

Location - Oak Barn is located in a lovely setting in the centre of the tiny hamlet of Crai in the of The Brecon Beacons, with perfect walking straight from the door. There is a regular bus service 50 yards away. The owners live and work here, on the large organic farm, which supplies Welsh Beef and Lamb to Waitrose; there are 300 acres of land for visitors to explore and walk over (on discussion with the owner please)
