A smaller sitting room or snug with TV with DVD set off the kitchen with French door leading out to the terrace and gardens - this would perhaps be a good place for children to be able to watch TV or play games.
The original part of this traditional Welsh Longhouse dating from the 1600's has a wealth of great oak beams with the long dining table to comfortably seat twelve guests for dinner is closest to the kitchen, a rather fine Grandfather clock, a Welsh dresser and then in the middle of this room is a wood burning stove.

A generous flight of beautiful handmade stairs leads up to the five bedrooms and there are floor to ceiling windows where the tall barn doors once were stood.

At the end of this great barn is the sitting room with large and very comfortable sofas and chairs, more french doors leading out to the terrace and The Hot Tub and at the far end of this sitting room a "picture" windows for visitors to be able to sit indoor whatever the weather and take in the fabulous panoramic vistas - certainly enough to take the breath away.

The gardens and lawns surrounding the house are superb, beautifully planted and well cared for, there is a BBQ area, lawn, a terraced area outside the sitting room accessed through the French windows, a raised decking area with tables and chairs to take full advantage of the wonderful views. This fabulous luxurious farmhouse set high in the most glorious Welsh rolling countryside in Mid Wales at the foot of The Epynt Mountain and on the edge of The Brecon Beacons National Park, situated between Builth Wells and Llanwrtyd Wells and Llangammach Wells, the Spa Towns fashionable in the early 1900's. The house is in an idyllic very private location, tranquil and peaceful - the perfect place for a get-away holiday with a group of friends and family.
Originally built in c. 1750 The Fron has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard retaining many of the original features, the great oak beams and exposed roof trusses, the wood floors, solid oak doors and windows, all superbly hand made by local craftsmen using locally sourced wood. The bedrooms, most of which have en-suite bathrooms are all luxurious with lovely linens, new fluffy towels and complimentary soaps.
There are several local pubs serving food - the closest would be The Trout Inn in Beulah or The Prince Llewellyn Inn in Cilmery, or try The Red Lion in Llanafan Fawr. For a special meal try The Lake Hotel in Llangammach but be sure to book - also there is a lovely Spa there for a nice bit of pampering. Visit The Abergwesyn Valley, The Elan Valley with the wonderful scenic drives around the great reservoirs and lakes, The Cambrian Hills and The Crychan Forest where there are picnic sites and mountain bike trails. This is the perfect place to stay for any events held at The Royal Welsh Showground.
