Town: Allendale was once the centre of a busy lead mining area, and many relics of the mining era remain around the area. Allendale is ideally placed for access to Carlisle to the west, Hexham to the east or the Roman Wall just to the north. There are lots of walks and unspoilt villages in the surrounding North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is an ideal location for exploring the surrounding countryside or travelling further north to the glorious Heritage Coastline.
Located in Hexham, this cottage is in a rural area. Allendale Forge Studios and Old Gaol are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at De Vere Slaley Hall Spa and De Vere Slaley Hall Golf Course.
