A Unique And Spacious Edwardian House Perfect For Family Get Togethers And Share, Penzance

Cornwall. Sleeps up to 14

Set in 7 acres of private woodland, Rosemerryn is a former artist’s residence, built for Benjamin Leder at the turn of the twentieth century. With spacious bedrooms, a big farmhouse kitchen and a large lounge, the house is reminiscent of a slower more pensive way of life. The lounge was once the artist's studio, and is beautifully lit by a huge north-facing window. This, along with the conservatory, and the private garden, allow plenty of space for a members of a big group to be together, but also to escape on their own. Adjacent to the house is the new games room, equipped with a table tennis table, a good sound system and an overhead projector for viewing movies or sky TV. Outside, beyond the garden, is the Bolegh Fogou, a 2000 year old cave or temple, which was once part of an iron-age settlement; just one of numerous such Ancient Celtic Sites to be found in the far west of Cornwall. There are well worn paths to follow through the woods, many made by badgers and foxes, and one, trodden more by humans, which will direct you down through the valley to the local pub, the Lamorna Wink, or on to the Cove where there is a small café overlooking the harbour beach and the waves rolling in across the Atlantic.

Located in Penzance, this vacation home is in a rural area and near the beach. Newlyn Art Gallery and Penlee House Gallery and Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Trereife House and Egyptian House. Consider Acorn Theatre for a night out or Sennen Surfing Centre if you're traveling with kids.
