For golfers, a day or two at Portsalon's links course is not to be missed, where you can enjoy sweeping sights across the sea. Set just one mile from pretty Portsalon, spend the evening in this sleepy little port and enjoy fine seafood fresh from the sea in the resort's bar/restaurant. The whole of Donegal's craggy coastline is just waiting to be explored, with the county home to some of the finest hidden beaches in all of Ireland. Take the scenic road north to Fanad Head, just a 20-minute drive away, where the iconic lighthouse sits a stark contrast against the rocky shore.
