Beautiful Llwyn-y-fron with its gorgeous Garden Studio is one of the highest and most remote holiday cottages in the Brecon Beacons, with the most stunning panoramic views across to the Black Mountains.

Reached up narrow lanes, Llwyn-y-fron sits at around 300 meters above sea level sits and is a unique property with lots of character and the most breath-taking and dramatic views of any of the properties on our books.

This traditional stone cottage sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms - two of which are en-suite, perfect for a family with a couple perhaps wanting more quiet in the outside stone Garden Studio.

The panoramic views across the Brecon Beacons to The Black Mountains, coupled with this flexible and immaculate accommodation, provides the perfect holiday location in The Brecon Beacons in South Wales.

Accommodation:

Sleeps 6/8 - 1 Double, 1 Twin/Double, 2 Kingsize/Twin

Llwyn-y-fron offers highly flexible accommodation with three of its four bedrooms able to convert to twin rooms if required. Separate from the main building, the Garden Studio houses a large bedroom with a superking sized bed, which can convert to twins and a well-appointed en-suite. This annexe is ideal for grandparents, teenagers or anyone within the party that may appreciate a lie-in! Llwyn-y-fron itself can accommodate a maximum of 8 guests, 6 in the main house and a further two in the Garden Studio.

Superb Luxurious Accommodation

As you walk through the front door and into the large entrance hall with a seating area you immediately get a feel for this unique cottage with the flagstone floors covered by Moroccan rugs and interesting and tasteful antique pieces furnishing the house gathered by the owners on their many overseas travels. This room acts as a very useful second sitting room with its own TV.

The main sitting room has oak beams, an inglenook fireplace with bread oven and woodburning stove and is comfortably furnished with brown leather sofas and chairs, TV with Freeview, DVD with Blueray, ipod docking station, CD and MP3 connection, all linked to a "full surround" music system which can be played throughout the house. Excellent WIFI thoughout.

Follow the steep stone spiral staircase up from the sitting room to:

Bedroom 1: Master bedroom with its superb King sized bed (which can become two singles) and hand carved antique headboard. (this bedroom has no door and is reached up quaint original very steep and narrow stone spiral steps).

This room has a generously sized en-suite with a bath, handbasin and toilet.

To the right of the entrance hall:

Kitchen/Dining Room: With a range electric cooker with double ovens and six ceramic plates and hob, a microwave, dishwasher, and large fridge/freezer. There is a large dining table seats 8 and diners will be able to enjoy amazing views from the bay window. From the kitchen, a few steps lead down to a utility room or boot area which houses the washing machine, and provides ample storage space for coats and boots.

Bedroom 2: A lovely double bed

Bedroom 3: Can be made up as a twin or converted to a double room.

Across the terrace is the completely separate GARDEN STUDIO with the large flat screen TV, DVD - perfect for visitors who want a bit more privacy.

Garden Studio Bedroom 4: A King sized bed can, once again be converted to a twin if guest's prefer and the room also benefits from a beautiful en-suite bathroom with shower, handbasin and toilet.

Office/Recreation Room/Yoga Studio

This fabulous purpose built new office/studio/games room is an ideal retreat with wonderful panoramic views - great for yoga and exercise. Plenty of office space with space for three work stations full WIFI - large TV multi channel, Blue Ray, DVD, IPOD, HUMAX, Wii - computer-access system. Surround music system. The double doors open out onto the main terrace wiews over the surrounding farmland.

Whatever your energy levels Llwyn-y-fron offers the ideal walk straight from your own front door with less than a minutes walk before being on the actual mountainside. Explore the upland waterfall country nearby, the numerous walks along Brecon and Monmouth Canal or challenge yourself with the 2.5 hour walk to the summit of Pen-y-Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons. Alternatively, a gentler 30 minute stroll down the lane brings you to the White Swan Inn, the excellent local pub or to the nearby Cantref Trekking Centre and Children's Adventure Farm.

A wealth of character features - This quirky cottage really has it all from the traditional Inglenook fireplace, woodburning stove, oak beams and flagstone floors to a really beautiful antique Indonesian style headboard in the master bedroom and many other interesting Asian antiques. Llwyn-y-fron still boasts its original bread oven and has a fabulous spiral stone staircase up to the master bedroom. This staircase is very steep so the master bedroom would not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems. The Garden Studio is perfect with a hard wood oak floor for Yoga/Pilates/Aerobics etc.
