Teifi View is a characterful, south-facing period cottage with stunning, unspoilt views over the picturesque Teifi Valley and River Teifi. From this location the sunsets are spectacular! The owner lives nearby, and has comfortably and stylishly furnished the cottage for you to enjoy. The living room has a feature inglenook and quarry tiled floor which leads into the dining room, with the kitchen and a conservatory off. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a family bathroom. Outside is a small courtyard patio leading up some steps to the tiered garden, which is private and enclosed.
Set on edge of the small market village of Llanybydder, Teifi View is the ideal place for a quiet getaway, but handy for enjoying the stunning Welsh coast and beaches or the scenic countryside. Llanybydder itself is an old market village famed for its monthly horse mart. There are pubs, shops, restaurants and takeaways within a short walking distance, and the cottage is in a perfect spot for those wanting to explore the counties of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion, being situated near the borders of both.
For anglers, the River Teifi has salmon, sewin and trout fishing, and is less than a 5-minute walk away. A 15-minute drive will bring you to the renowned Brechfa Forest, internationally known for its mountain biking trails. The attractive coastal towns of New Quay, Aberaeron and Llangrannog are only ½ hour away, as is the bustling town of Carmarthen, the oldest town in Wales. The University town of Lampeter is less than 5 miles away, where you will find independent shops, cafés, pubs and supermarkets. A regular bus route is less than a minute’s walk away from the cottage, so you can leave the car behind if you wish.
The cottage is perfect for cyclists, and there is a handy hose pipe set up to wash down muddy bikes after a ride, and ample room for storage. Walkers are also well catered for, since the cottage is set on a small, unclassified road which leads directly onto Llanllwni Mountain. You can walk as far as your heart desires, and the road leads directly onto Llanybydder mountain with thousands of acres for you to freely explore.
The lovely boutique towns of Llandeilo and Llandovery are only ½ hour away and have fantastic restaurants, excellent walking and an ample array of castles, gardens and other historic places to visit. Teifi View is perfect for a relaxing holiday whether a short break or a longer stay, so come and explore this wonderful region. Beach 16 miles. Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 2½ miles.
