Nearby is Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park - a great family day out. Cardigan The county town has supermarkets, a high street lined with Georgian buildings, a theatre/cinema complex a thriving market and lots of small shops to enjoy. Barley Saturday is an annual event left over from the days when farmers gathered in the town to hire workers and inspect stallions for stud. Various competitions take place and horses are paraded through the town. Welsh Wild Life Centre, Cilgerran and Boat Trips on the Teifi RiverThe Welsh Wild Life Centre in Cilgerran is set on the banks of the River Teifi in the Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve and is a stunning award winning building with panoramic views over the River, Cardigan and woodland. The centre is teeming with wildlife including water buffaloes and otters. There are interactive cameras out on the marsh watching the wildlife, an adventure playground and the 'Glasshouse Café' renowned for its locally produced food.
