You can also take the ferry to Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula, giving access to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Ayrshire offers a varied coastline with villages, beaches and rocky coves, while inland there is walking, riding, fishing, racing, cycling and many gardens and castles to visit. A number of golf courses are nearby, including the world famous Turnberry. Culzean Castle Country Park, extending over 550 acres, has a network of wooded trails passing along the beach. There is easy access to the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, with rail links available from Inverkip.
