This charming, detached, stone built holiday cottage is located in the quiet village of Gartocharn within the owner’s grounds and adjacent to the owner’s own property. It is ideally situated for most country sports and activities, and is within walking distance of amenities and services, including the village shop and a retail outlet with daytime restaurant. Within the incredibly beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, there are many lochside, lowland and hill walks just a short distance away, including a Munro. Sports include golf, sailing, windsurfing, cycling and horse riding. Cruises around Loch Lomond and its many islands are available. The top of Duncryne Hill is only 20 minutes’ walk through the woods and field. It provides one of the best 360-degree views in Scotland and a spectacular panorama of the loch. A nature conservation area is within walking distance, where a large variety of wildlife may be seen including deer, ducks, geese, herons, raptors and swans. Local visits include distilleries and an aquarium. The numerous attractions in Glasgow and Stirling are within 40 minutes driving, or the former can be easily reached by train from Balloch, 3 miles away. Glasgow and Edinburgh airports are close to hand. The property has internet access, as the Wi-fi is located adjacent to this property, but can still be accessed. Shop and restaurant 100 yards, pub 4 miles.
