From most of the rooms and the conservatory you have fantastic sea views over the Kilbrannan Sound towards Kintyre and guests can enjoy the evening sunsets. You can easily walk to the shop and restaurant, 0.25 miles. From nearby Lochranza with its facilities, restaurants and the distillery you can take the short ferry trip to Claonaig and explore a piece of Kintyre. The Isle of Arran has long since been a playground for the Scots, its topography resembles that of a miniature Scotland - a mountainous north and rolling, pastoral south. Arran has many outdoor activities in peaceful, countryside surroundings. The wildlife is outstanding, with deer, pheasant, otter and eagle readily seen in the mountains. There are seal colonies near coastal caves, trails and pathways to mysterious Bronze Age stone circles, and many relaxing angling hours to be enjoyed by streams or sea. 7 golf courses tempt the golfer, whilst history and heritage is catered for at Brodick Castle and various museums. Shop and restaurant 0.25 miles, pub 4 miles.
