Large lawned garden with sitting-out area, garden furniture and gas barbecue. 70-acre unspoilt grounds with pasture and orchards (shared with owner). Bike store. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. . This superb semi-detached holiday cottage is situated a few miles from Glastonbury in the small hamlet of Pilltown. It makes a great base from which to explore this beautiful mystical part of the country. The cottage is very eco-friendly, with solar panels and eco-friendly cleaning products. The owner’s fields that the cottage backs on to are all organic natural pastures, with no fertilisers or chemicals used on them, which encourages a habitat for an array of wildlife. The cottage is set within 70 acres, and you are free to roam through these fields and enjoy the surrounding area. The owner also owns a cider farm and museum across the road, and he is happy to take you on a tour to see how cider was originally made. Glastonbury, with its famous abbey and tor, is just a few miles away, and Wells Cathedral with its Bishops Palace, Wookey Hole, Cheddar Caves and Gorge are all a short drive. If you fancy a little shopping, check out Clarks Village, the designer outlet in Street. Also within an hour’s drive you can reach the World Heritage city of Bath with its array of fine restaurants and, of course, the famous Thermae Bath Spa and Grand Pump Rooms, and Bath Abbey. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
