Full of light and space, this wonderfully distinctive detached property has been uniquely furnished and styled with comfort firmly in mind. Ideal for families or friends, the interior is a striking mix of traditional and contemporary, with bright primary colours and bold light fittings on the ground floor contrasting with traditional furnishings in the first floor living room. The open plan L-shaped living and kitchen areas, separated by a stylish double sided wood burner, are ideal for guests to relax together. Full length windows, bi-fold and patio doors lead on to the terrace and provide almost 360 degree views of the garden and beyond. Having a ha-ha rather than a fence to separate the garden from the field leading down to the river provides uninterrupted views both up and down stream. Upstairs the decor is classically stunning. The four large bedrooms all offer lovely views and the two top floor double bedrooms have additional beds which can be moved around to suit occupancy - children may wish to share rooms or else have space of their own.

For rainy days a selection of books and games, an additional TV and DVD player, a ball pit, air hockey table, wooden play kitchen and soft toys have been supplied. Babies and toddlers are also well catered for, with two cots and highchairs, fire guard, bouncy chair, children’s step, cutlery, plates, mugs and a sanitised nappy bin. Two bathrooms and two shower rooms, with monsoon shower heads and mirrors with shaver sockets will help you relax after a busy day exploring the surrounding area. Outside there are several separate areas of the garden to enjoy - a raised one at the rear of the house offers a fantastic view, seclusion and peace whilst part of the lawn is fully enclosed to allow children or pets to play. There is a river close by that does offer salmon or sea trout fishing.
Although secluded, the property is only ¾ mile from The Drovers Inn, an excellent pub and restaurant, 5 miles from the historic town of Kirriemuir which was the birthplace of JM Barrie, and 6 miles from Forfar with its swimming pool and leisure centre. In the heart of Angus, there are numerous outdoor activities to enjoy from superb waking in the Angus Glens, fishing on the south Esk, golf at Kirriemuir, Forfar and Edzel, 16 miles, and Carnoustie, 21 miles, and of course enjoying the magnificent beaches at Lunan Bay and Montrose. Arbroath has an attractive harbour where you can sample the traditional smokies or visit the local whisky distillery at Fettercairn. If art and culture are important to you Dundee, Aberdeen and Perth all have museums, art galleries and theatres as well as many good restaurants. Glamis castle, where the late Queen Mother was born, is a popular attraction as are the several National Trust properties that are within easy reach. Crathes and Drum castles are only an hour or so away over the Cairn o’ Mount, which must be one of the most beautiful scenic routes in Scotland. Fishing can be arranged with Inshewan Estates for the beat by the house, and from Finavon Castle fishing further down river and Cortachy Estates just above. For loch fishing days can be arranged on Roscobie Loch and Lintrathen reservoir. Beach 23 miles. Shop 6 miles, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
