This extremely well-appointed, detached house offers a high standard of comfort in a wonderful rural setting in the heart of the Crown Estate of Glenlivet, which consists of nearly 90 square miles of glens, forestry and moorlands between the Ladder and Cromdale Hills within the Cairngorm National Park. Literally next door to the famous Glenlivet Whisky Distillery (open to visitors), the house commands fine views from the upstairs over glorious countryside which is teeming with excellent walks, a diverse range of wildlife and historical places of interest including Drumin Castle and Packhorse Bridge. All the family can find something to do on a holiday in Glenlivet. In addition to walking, the landscape of rolling hills also provides excellent mountain biking and horse riding on an extensive network of waymarked trails. The community welcomes visitors, and traditional courtesies remain, in an area where there is still a sense of peace and quiet that is fast disappearing elsewhere. The village of Tomintoul is just a short drive away with some interesting shops, eateries, a museum and leisure activities including tennis and riding school. Skiing is available in the winter months with easy access from the house to the Lecht and Cairngorms slopes. Further afield, Grantown on Spey, Aviemore, Inverness and the Moray coastline make for some good days out.
