Furnished and equipped to a very high standard to ensure as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible, Mountain View makes an ideal base for exploring this lovely part of the Northern Highlands, being only four miles from the picturesque village of Kingussie, right in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Amongst the many activities available, are miles of forest trails right on the doorstep, where you can go walking and mountain biking. Also, take part in skiing, snowboarding, golf, horse riding, fishing and watersports at nearby Loch Insh and Loch Morlich.

Visit the Cairngorm funicular railway which will take you to the Ptarmigan Top Station just below the Cairngorm summit, the Highland Wildlife Park or The Highland Folk Museum, where you can enjoy learning about Highland life going back to the 1700s. Kingussie boasts a good variety of pubs, restaurants and shops with Inverness, ’the Highland capital’, Loch Ness and Fort William, ’the outdoor capital of the UK’ all within an easy drive. Once back from a busy day exploring, you can sit in the hot tub or the sauna and relax. A stay in Kirkstone Lodge will always bring back happy memories.
