Enjoy wonderful walking on marked coastal paths on the John Muir Way, an unspoilt beach within 15 minutes’ walk of the cottage, and both sea-fishing and seal-spotting boat trips from Dunbar harbour. Visit the Museum of Flight to see Concorde, or the Seabird Centre to watch puffins nesting on the Bass Rock. Musselburgh Racecourse makes a fun day out, while riding, tennis, cycle hire and indoor swimming are all available in and around Dunbar, 1 mile. The town also offers a range of shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants and the station for the 20-minute rail journey into Edinburgh city centre. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
