The lovely medieval market town of Bury St Edmunds is within 15 minutes’ drive, with its twice weekly market, cathedral, and very good shopping and restaurants. Newmarket, famous for it racecourse is within easy driving distance, as are Cambridge and Lavenham. Further afield is the coast for Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich and Felixstowe, all about an hour’s drive, horse riding nearby and birdwatching can be enjoyed at Minismere, 38 miles. Good rail links from nearby Elmswell or Stowmarket stations. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 1 mile.
