Lyons Hall Granary, Herefordshire, attached to our home in Lyons Hall Barn, is approached down a half-mile track and overlooks the beautiful Black Mountains. It is perfect for exploring the Southern Marches, the Brecon Beacons, and the Hay-on-Wye area. There are walks directly from the Granary into the adjacent woodland and to the open pastures beyond. Built of brick and stone, the Granary has a lovely light and open-plan interior with wood floors, an open fireplace and country-style furniture. The wildlife garden, which guests are welcome to enjoy, also has a private area with table and chairs for their own use. The Granary has a wealth of sustainable-living features. Its electricity is supplied by a wind turbine and solar photovoltaic panels which have consistently met our summer needs for the past five years, while solar thermal tubes supply us with lots of hot water.
