The Couple's Retreat is a thoughtfully converted barn that provides luxurious living accommodation in a quiet village location near the Peak District. This beautifully restored property is perfect for couples looking to explore the local countryside and for a relaxing or romantic break. With wood panelled flooring and open-plan ground floor living throughout, the cottage feels spacious, bright and airy. The living room and kitchen are very well equipped with top of the range furnishings. This character dwelling also has some great features including a romantic super-king sized bed and a delightful private garden with luxurious hot tub and sumptuous bath robes. Just outside Ashbourne and only a 20 minute drive from the Peak District, this cottage is an idyllic retreat to explore the Peaks and Dales of Derbyshire.
The space

The Couple's Retreat is a modern barn conversion with everything you need for your escape to the country. With modern styling and quality furnishings throughout and features a spacious king size bedroom with wet room, an open plan living area with flame effect fire, original truss fully fitted kitchen leading to the private pretty garden.

Guest access

The property is accessed via a private driveway and guests will be greeted by the owners upon arrival. If you are arriving late keys can be left in the lockbox for you to access the property.

Extras

The owners can provide freezer food or a meal waiting for you on arrival. If you would like catering arranged Delish Dishes, in Ashbourne comes highly recommended and can make your stay even more enjoyable and relaxing. Situated next to but detached from The Mews this accommodation can be booked together, if available, sleeping up to 10 guests.

Sustainability

The Couple's Retreat is in a set of beautifully converted set of farmhouses in the Derbyshire countryside. The owners provide you with fresh eggs and milk from their local farm and there are plenty of sheep in the nearby fields. The farm is partially powered by solar panels reducing the carbon footprint of the property. If you would like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking and service fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

This is automatically added to your booking – please contact us to remove this option and either add Booking Protect detailed below or to pay the Refundable Accidental Damage Deposit.

For your complete peace of mind, we offer Booking Protect. With Booking Protect, if you are no longer able to travel as intended, we will arrange a change of date or a full refund for you minus the cost of Booking Protect and the admin fee of £75.

In addition to the flexibility to rearrange your dates, Booking Protect covers accidental damage during your stay at the property up to the value of the Accidental Damage Deposit for the booked Property.
