About the property

Horseshoe House is a newly renovated barn conversion with stunning views of the Peak District and is perfect for families and groups wanting to explore the local countryside. The former stables has been fully renovated by the owners and includes some nice touches like an electric car charging point and electric automated gates on entry. You will be taken aback by the breathtaking views of the nearby countryside and it's perfect for walkers and outdoor activities with alike with activities such as clay pigeon shooting and horse riding nearby. There's also plenty to do nearby with Chatsworth House within a 10 minute drive and several cracking local pubs to explore.

The space

The ground floor laid to a generous proportioned, comfortable open plan living, dining and kitchen area as well as a separate living room. Both have large Smart TVs and are perfect to relax in and the main open plan area has bifold windows that look out onto the Peak District. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher and wine cooler. The kitchen has everything you need as well as a central island where you can all gather. The kitchen dining and living room all flow into one, making a great entertaining space. In addition on entry you will find a useful bench to take off your boots before relaxing on one of the large sofas.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms with ample room for up to 6 adults. The beds all have high quality pocket-sprung mattresses and 500 thread count sheets and towels. Robes are also provided along with luxury toiletries. The master bedroom has a beautiful original beamed ceiling and a king-sized bed which you can sink into after a long day out. There's an en suite with separate shower and WC and a freestanding bath which you can soak in whilst taking in the views. There's also a balcony with outdoor seating so you can enjoy an alfresco morning coffee or sun downers. The second bedroom has a large double bed and the third has twin singles for added flexibility and both sandwich a well-appointed family bathroom.

There is an abundance of wildlife and local walks nearby as well as some fantastic pubs and restaurants. Please get in touch with Guest Services if you would like some further information.

Guest access

The property is accessed via a private gravel driveway which is shared with the owner's home which is nearby but sits quite separate. On entry through the automated electric gates (with sensors) there off road parking for at least three cars (and more by arrangement). The owners will be on hand to meet and greet guests or alternatively they can provided you with a code for access.

Sustainability

The property is has been sympathetically restored using original stone by a local stone mason. It also has some nice touches including a welcome pack full of local produce and an electric vehicle charging point.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking and service fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive the requirement.
Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you're legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.
