This terraced cottage, a converted steading, is surrounded by lovely walking, cycling and running routes. The pretty Borders town of Jedburgh is just 3 miles away with its shops, restaurants, cafes and unique 12th century abbey. You can visit the Castle Jail with its views over the surrounding countryside, or Queen Mary s House and museum, or play golf at several local courses. Anglers can enjoy a spot of fishing on the famous Teviot or Tweed rivers close by that have good grayling, salmon and trout beats available by the day. There are good road links to many historical sites and towns such as Kelso, Melrose and Edinburgh (via Tweedbank on the Borders Railway) and a number of grand houses and castles locally many of whom offer guided tours, woodland walks, pretty gardens and sumptuous eateries. As you enter via the inviting hallway, the kitchen, lounge and separate WC are off the hallway on the ground floor. The lounge is spacious and bright with reclining sofas, a large Smart TV/DVD and an electric flame effect fire. The kitchen/diner is well equipped and the perfect place to prepare a meal while catching up with a coffee or glass of wine in the dining area, making this a very sociable place to plan new adventures. The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine with a Nespresso Vertuo coffee maker. Heading up to the first floor, there is a king size bedroom with built in wardrobes and an en suite shower room with shower and WC. Along the landing, there is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC, and a large twin bedroom with built in wardrobes. This property offers a lovely tranquil place to rest and relax after a day out exploring the beautiful Borders countryside. Outside, there is a small private garden area to the front of the cottage, ideal for relaxing on the provided garden chairs with the setting sun at end the day. Parking for two cars is adjacent to the cottage.
