Visit Durham City for the spectacular cathedral, castle, peaceful river walks, shopping and lunch. By car, the unique heritage coastline is only 18 miles away, while the pretty market town of Barnard Castle is 23 miles away and the open air Beamish Museum is just over 20 miles away. Explore beautiful Weardale and the North York Moors for breath taking walking and cycling routes. Head 29 miles north to Newcastle for the day and sample its vibrant and exciting arts scene. Walk up a couple of steps from the driveway and then up two more steps to enter the house through the front door. From the hallway, you will find the light and airy lounge with a large bay window that catches the morning sun. Relax on two comfortable sofas after your days out exploring and watch a little TV or DVD. Also from the hallway, there is a spacious dining room with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy sociable meals together with another TV to keep the cook company in the kitchen. French doors lead out into the garden and on to the hot tub with its sweeping views across open countryside.
